A Reason to Celebrate DaDa

Thank whoever it was that came up with the wonderful day of Father's Day.  It was a very special day for us as we celebrated Jason's first Father's Day as a Dad.  We had a wonderful day together as a family.  I love the bond that Phoenix and Jason have and wouldn't change ANYTHING about their relationship.

Jason had fun doing Phoenix's hair this particular day.  Actually it was a phase that lasted for a few.  I can only imagine what he'll do if we have a daughter!

We started off Father's Day with a pancake breakfast.  We then opened presents.  Phoenix got DaDa a book, 100 Reasons a Son Needs His Father.  He mainly got it because it was written by an author named Gregory Lang, which also happens to be Jason's Dads name.  We thought it was appropriate.  He also got him 2 shirts and a tub of vitalyte.  Nothing big, but it was nice to be able to celebrate for the first time in his life this special day.

We then went to church.  After church, we had our annual church picnic.  We had lunch and cake.  Phoenix also got to ride a pony for the first time in his life.  He looks unsure of the experience, but seemed to enjoy it more than not.

After the picnic we headed home for naps.  Naps for the whole family!  We then packed it up and headed to my Goddaughter's 2nd Birthday.  I can't believe my sweet girl is already 2.  We had a blast at her luau party.  It was also nice being there together as a family, spending it with even more family.  I love you to the moon and back my sweet Victoria.  May God grant you many, many more years of health and happiness!

So as you can tell, we had a wonderful Father's Day.  Jason spoils Phoenix and I so much that it was nice to be able to spoil him a bit.  We are very blessed to have such a wonderful role-model and partner to go through life with.  We love you to the moon and back DaDa.
