1 Week Old with Outings Galore

Luna had her 1 week doctors appointment on Friday.  The doctor said she looks perfect.  She also said I must produce some good milk because her weight gain was fabulous.  She left the hospital at 6lb 11oz and was now weighing in at 7lb 6oz (or 9, seriously can't remember). Putting her in the 50%.  She has also grown a 1/2". Her height is 50-75%.  Her color is good and her neck control isn't bad either.  That totally shocked me.  Compared to Phoenix, she has no control whatsoever.

After seeing how well she did spending all of Wednesday in the ER, I decided to brave my first outing with these two.  After the doctor, that is.  Surprisingly, I survived that visit with no bumps.  We even made it there 10 minutes early!  I was proud of myself!

So, after the doctor, we headed to church for the food festival.  Both got a nap in on the way.  I was excited for Phoenix to get out and just run around.  It was a beautifully warm day, so I knew that would help his spirits as well.  We got there and I stuck Luna under a table behind the drink booth.  I kept her hidden so people would stay away.  Besides, she was sleeping.

Phoenix was soo eggcited.  He ran, danced, played and just had a blast!  My heart was soo happy for him.  The fact that his best friend, YaYa, was there was just the icing on the cake.  They played together forever.  We were probably there somewhere like 2-3 hours.  Luna slept the entire time.  We headed home, knowing we'd be back later that evening for more fun.

Friday evening the girls (my nieces) were dancing at the festival.  We originally decided I'd take P and Jason would stay home with Luna.  After much debate, we decided to make it a family affair.  Again, we hid Luna under the table in behind the drink booth and spent some good quality time with Phoenix. He watched the dancers, then danced himself :).  He had a blast.  He had a sno cone and even saw 2 of his buddies, Ethan and Miles, whom we haven't seen in a while.  That was a very nice treat!  We stayed probably 2 1/2 hours.  Again, Luna slept the entire time.  Seriously, this kid is making our lives fairly sane :).

Because of the rain in the forecast, we knew we weren't going to take the kids to the festival Saturday.  Instead, we headed to Chuck E Cheese.  Phoenix has been begging to go here and the zoo.  We loaded up and headed there around 10:30.  No plans on eating, just playing.  We played for like an hour or so. Again, Luna slept the entire time.  We then headed to church to pick up lunch from the drive thru.  Totally convenient with 2 little kids and rainy weather.  Both kids napped the entire way.  Jason then ran into the grocery store for a few items and we headed home for an afternoon of laziness and football.
